Privacy Policy

Short version: the extension does not collect anything about you, and the website collects only anonymous page-view counts.
The extension
OpenAny extensions parse files locally inside VS Code. They contain no analytics, no crash reporting and no telemetry. They make exactly one kind of network request: when you enter a Pro or Team license key, the extension sends that key and a random per-machine identifier to Polar to confirm the key is valid and record the activation. File contents, file names and your identity are never sent.
The website
openany.dev uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without storing personal data or IP addresses. There are no advertising trackers.
Purchases
When you buy a license, Polar Software Inc. collects your email address and payment details as the merchant of record, under Polar's privacy policy. We can see your email address, the product you bought and your license status so we can support you. We do not see your card number.
If you email support, we keep the conversation so we can answer you and improve the product. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we never sell or share your address.
Your rights
Email openany@gearyworks.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We answer within 30 days.
